Project title: PoseNet Gradient

Description (1 sentence): Using wrist points (poseNet) to control the colors of a gradient.

Project abstract

Inspired by a previous project relating to exploring color combinations and creating linear gradients, I wanted to continue working with color and gradient creation with an entirely digital form.

This project will be an interactive multi-person experience with a visual effect displayed on a large screen. People are invited to change colors on a dynamic gradient with their wrist points. The experience can be enjoyed alone or with another person, mixing 2 or 4 colors at a time.

Inspiration

This project was inspired by a previous project that I made.

Switchboard Palette - a modified paint palette with tactile components to control a color gradient displayed on a screen.

I wanted to expand on this project by

  1. Using ml for body point position instead of tactile controls
  2. Incorporating 4 colors instead of 2 colors
    1. 2 person interaction, 4 wrist points
  3. Exploring a different form of gradient instead of linear

This project is also related to a project in a different class, acting as a demonstration of the visual effect in my open call proposal. My open call proposal involves the intangible interaction between two people. Hence, I am motivated to adapt this project to experienced by 1 or 2 people at a time.
